What Garden Party Premium Peel and Stick Wallpaper Is

Start with the name, because it's how most people find this paper. The design is Rifle Paper Co. Garden Party, and the peel and stick version is listed under York SKU PSW1199RL. If you're comparing listings across sites, that SKU is the fastest way to confirm you're looking at the same product.

It's a peel and stick wallpaper, which means it goes up without paste and can be easily removed later. That one fact changes who can use it. Renters who can't commit to traditional paper, and homeowners who want to try a big pattern on a single wall before going further, both land here for the same reason.

The design comes from Rifle Paper Co., and the wallcovering is produced by York. It's a pattern for people who want something with presence rather than a quiet background print.

The Rifle Paper Co. Garden Party Peel and Stick Wallpaper Pattern Up Close

Garden Party is built from bold bouquets and fruit. It isn't a tiny ditsy floral that reads as texture from across the room. The scale makes a statement, so you'll see individual bouquets clearly even from a doorway.

That scale is the main thing to weigh before you buy. A large floral does a lot of work on one wall. It can carry a room on its own, which is why it pairs well with simple furniture and solid textiles. Put three other busy patterns next to it and it starts competing.

Why scale matters more than color here

People tend to shop wallpaper by color first. With Garden Party, think about scale first. A bold, large pattern changes how big a wall feels, and that matters more in some rooms than others:

• On a long, uninterrupted wall, a large repeat has room to breathe and reads as intentional.
• On a narrow wall broken up by a window and a door, you'll see fewer full bouquets, so a sample taped up in place tells you a lot.
• Behind a bed or a sofa, the furniture covers the lower part of the pattern, so the upper bouquets do most of the talking.

Garden Party Specs at a Glance

Here's everything the product listing states about sizes and coverage. Nothing here is estimated; these are the figures on the page.

• Sample size: 8 in x 10 in.
• Roll size: 27 in x 20 ft.
• Coverage per roll: 45 sq ft.
• Pattern repeat: 24 inches.
• Care classification: washable.

The 24-inch pattern repeat is the vertical distance before the design starts over. A longer repeat like this one is part of why the bouquets look so generous on the wall. It also means that when you line up strips side by side, you're matching a fairly tall section of pattern, so plan your rolls with that in mind rather than dividing your wall area by 45 and stopping there.

Choosing Between the Bright and Neutral Colorways

Garden Party comes in both bright and neutral colorway options. Same bouquets, same fruit, same scale, but the mood of the room shifts depending on which way you go.

When the bright colorway makes sense

A bright colorway suits a wall you want people to notice: a dining nook, a powder room accent, a nursery feature wall, a reading corner. With a bold-scale floral in a bright palette, the wallpaper becomes the main decorative element, so keep the rest of the room quieter.

When the neutral colorway makes sense

A neutral colorway keeps the drama of the large bouquets while softening the contrast. It's the easier choice if you're layering it with existing art, patterned rugs or colorful bedding, or if you want the pattern to feel more like a backdrop.

Why the sample matters for color

Monitor color may vary from the actual product. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, and a floral with many tones is exactly the kind of design where that shows. If you found this page searching for a specific shade, such as "pink botanical wallpaper" or "burgundy wallpaper", the sample is how you confirm the colorway you're considering actually has the tones you want.

A sample is the simplest way to confirm color and pattern before you buy rolls. At 8 in x 10 in, it's large enough to see a real section of the design. Tape it up on the wall you're planning to cover and look at it in morning light, evening light and lamplight before you decide.

Where a Removable Floral Peel and Stick Wallpaper Works

Because Garden Party can be easily removed, it fits projects where traditional paper would feel like too big a commitment. The listing calls it perfect for rentals and accent walls, and those are the two jobs it does best.

Rentals

If you rent, the usual problem with wallpaper is getting it back off. A peel and stick floral lets you live with a pattern you love for the length of your lease. Check your lease terms before you start, since rules about wall changes vary by landlord.

Accent walls

An accent wall is the natural home for a bold-scale floral. One wall of bouquets and fruit gives a room a focal point without wrapping the whole space in pattern. Common choices include:

• The wall behind a headboard in a primary or guest bedroom.
• One wall of a dining area, where the pattern frames the table.
• A home office wall that shows up behind you on video calls.
• A nursery or kid's room feature wall that can change as they grow.

Testing a pattern before a bigger project

Some homeowners use a removable paper as a trial run. If you're unsure whether a large floral suits your house, an accent wall in Garden Party tells you within a few weeks whether you want more pattern or less.

How Many Rolls of Garden Party to Order

Each roll is 27 in wide by 20 ft long and covers 45 sq ft. Square footage alone undercounts, because the 24-inch repeat means some of each roll is trimmed away when you match strips. Counting strips gives a more realistic number:

1. Measure the width of each wall and divide by 27 inches, rounding up, to get the number of strips.
2. Measure the wall height and add 24 inches for the pattern repeat to get the length of each strip.
3. Divide 20 ft by that strip length, rounding down, to see how many full strips one roll gives you.
4. Divide your total strips by strips per roll, rounding up, to get your roll count.

For example, on an 8 ft wall each strip needs about 10 ft once you allow for the repeat, so one roll gives you two strips. Windows and doors save a little paper, but it's wise to keep that as your margin rather than subtract it.

Buy enough in one go

Wallpaper is printed in runs, and rolls from different runs can differ slightly in color. A roll bought months later may sit next to your originals and look a touch off, and on a bold, multicolor floral that difference can be noticeable. Ordering the full amount for your project at once is the simplest way to avoid it.

Caring for a Washable Multicolor Peel and Stick Wallpaper

Garden Party is classified as washable, which is useful in a busy room. The care rules are specific, and following them keeps the print looking the way it did on day one.

The pattern is the whole point of this paper, so treat it gently. A damp cloth and soapy water handle everyday marks. Anything harsher than that risks the printed surface.

Before You Install

Peel and stick removes the paste step, but it still rewards patience and a bit of planning. Have your sample on hand, your full order in one batch, and your measurements double-checked before you start.

With a 24-inch repeat, lining up each strip with the one beside it is what makes the bouquets read as one continuous garden rather than a set of panels. Hang the first strip carefully and plumb, then match every strip after it to the one before.

Similar Floral Patterns to Compare

If Garden Party is close but not quite right, a couple of other florals are worth a look side by side.

• The Rifle Paper Co. Gracie Garden wallpaper is another Rifle Paper Co. design, useful if you like the brand's drawing style.
• The Peonies Floral premium peel and stick wallpaper is a removable floral from the same premium peel and stick group.

Ordering samples of two or three candidates and taping them up together is the quickest way to decide. Patterns that look similar on a screen often feel very different on a wall.

Start With a Sample

If Garden Party's bold bouquets and fruit have caught your eye, the easiest next step is an 8 in x 10 in sample in the colorway you're leaning toward. Live with it on your wall for a few days, then order your full project in one go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Garden Party peel and stick wallpaper removable?

Yes. Garden Party is a peel and stick wallpaper that can be easily removed, which is why it's a good fit for rentals and accent walls. If you rent, check your lease for any rules about wall changes before you start. It also works as a lower-commitment way to try a bold floral in one room before deciding on a bigger project.

How much wall does one roll of Garden Party cover?

Each roll measures 27 in x 20 ft and covers 45 sq ft. The pattern repeat is 24 inches, so you'll need to allow for matching strips. Count strips rather than square feet: add 24 inches to your wall height, see how many strips of that length fit in 20 ft, and work out your roll count from there.

Can I order a sample of Garden Party before buying rolls?

Yes. Samples are 8 in x 10 in, big enough to see a real section of the bouquets and fruit. Monitor color may vary from the actual product, so a sample is the only reliable way to confirm the colorway. Tape it to the wall you plan to cover and check it in different light.

How do I clean Garden Party peel and stick wallpaper?

It's classified as washable. Remove water-soluble stains and dirt with a damp cloth or sponge, using only soapy water. Avoid all abrasive cleaning agents, and don't rub or scrub the surface or use brushes. Gentle cleaning keeps the printed pattern looking the way it did when it went up, especially on the brighter colorway.

Why should I order all my Garden Party rolls at once?

Wallpaper is printed in runs, and rolls from different runs can vary slightly in color. A roll added later may look a little different next to your originals, and on a bold multicolor floral that can show. Measure carefully, count your strips, and buy everything for your project at the same time.
